Advanced firearms training for professionals
The Sunday Session is PrepYou.Eu’s weekly advanced firearms training event for experienced shooters who want to maintain, sharpen and pressure-test practical weapon skills in a structured, professionally supervised environment.
It is particularly suited to serving and former military personnel, law-enforcement officers, close-protection operatives, private-security professionals and experienced civilian shooters who already possess safe, competent firearms-handling skills and want regular live-fire training in Sofia.
Held every Sunday from 13:00 to 16:00, the session provides purposeful, progressive training rather than a novelty shooting experience. You will train alongside serious shooters, working through realistic, demanding drills that develop confidence, decision-making, weapons handling and performance under pressure. This can be gained via Core Skills Saturday.
Start/End Time – 1300-1600
Modules 4-6 of The Ak Operator Course can also be taken on The Sunday Session.
What You Will Train
Sunday Session training is adapted to the experience and capability of the group. Depending on the session, this may include:
Dynamic shooting from different positions, distances and levels of cover
Movement, target discrimination and multiple-target engagements
Immediate-action and stoppage drills
Emergency and tactical magazine changes
Pistol and rifle handling, including rifle-to-pistol transitions
Working in pairs and small teams
Close-quarter shooting principles and controlled, scenario-informed drills
Maintaining core standards of safety, accuracy, speed and weapon manipulation
This is an advanced group environment: participants are expected to arrive with sound safety habits, an understanding of range commands and the ability to handle weapons safely without continuous basic-level coaching.

Serving or former military personnel seeking regular, practical weapons training
Law-enforcement and security-industry professionals maintaining relevant firearms skills
Close-protection, security and specialist-industry personnel
Experienced civilian shooters who have completed qualifying PrepYou training
Former PrepYou and Grabo students who want to prevent skill fade and continue progressing
The session is open to shooters aged 18 and over who have completed a PrepYou.Eu Weapon Competency course or Core Skills Saturdaywithin the previous 12 months. If your competency has expired, or you are unsure whether your current experience is sufficient, contact us before booking so we can advise on the most appropriate route.
The Progression Route
New, developing or returning shooters should begin with Core Skills Saturday, held every Saturday at 13:00.
Core Skills Saturday establishes safe weapon handling, range conduct, pistol and rifle fundamentals, and supervised live-fire competence. It is the correct route for anyone who needs to build or refresh those foundations before stepping into advanced training.
For suitable students, this creates a complete training weekend:
Saturday: Complete Core Skills Saturday and demonstrate safe, consistent fundamentals.
Sunday: Progress into the Sunday Session, subject to instructor assessment, eligibility and available places.
This ensures that Sunday remains a challenging, professional-level training environment while giving committed new shooters a clear and structured route into continued development.
Who can join the Sunday Session and how do I book?
- The Session is open to any shooters over 18 years old who have attended a PrepYou.Eu Weapon Competency or Core Skills Saturday in the last 12 months.
- To book, either buy this package online and we will be in contact to arrange your day.
