Description
After nearly 80 years of peace across much of Europe, the prospect of regional — if not global — conflict is no longer theoretical. PrepYou.Eu exists to give you the skills your government may never provide.
This civil defence training course is modelled as closely as possible on British Army Phase 1 Basic Training. The central objective is simple: to build the mindset, skills and physical confidence to calmly and efficiently crack on with what needs to be done when sovereign territory is threatened.
This Civil Defence Training (Europe) course takes place the week after we deliver the Combined Multi-Platform Firearms Training and can be booked as a bundle. A further discount of €400 will be applied when booked together. Get in contact for more details.

National Service, Mobilisation & Conscription — What It Means for You in 2026
With several European nations reintroducing or expanding national service and conscription programmes, the question for civilians is no longer ‘if’ but ‘when’. Although recent conflicts have seen mass mobilisations (Conscription) on every side, there are other alternatives to being conscripted into the military in less authoritarian or manpower-lacking nations.
With National Service, for example, the main focus is usually on the military. However, you may have a moral or religious reason that will prevent you from fighting for your country (Conscientious Objector). Although often maligned in conflicts past, these people are still useful to society at war as they are able to replace citizens who are fit and of a fighting age in their civilian roles so they can be mobilised for the war.
Everyone has a role to play in time of national emergency.
Our Citizen Soldier Programme focuses on the key elements of soldiering you may not have been fortunate enough to receive from your own government — and not just the shooting aspects. As we like to say, anyone can pull a trigger and there is a lot more to soldiering than that.
Fieldcraft & Survival and Tactics are covered on Days 1 & 2 alongside basic weapon handling, before moving to the range for the final three days for an intense live-fire training package using over 700 rounds of ammunition — based around our ever-popular AK Operator & Designated Marksman Course.
Students will be wearing helmets and body armour at all times whilst live firing.
