The Close Quarter Battle Team is a subscription-based training package designed to help more advanced students progress from solo firearms training to full team tactics in confined spaces such as buildings or vehicles. Our international training partner SAMI Academy Sofia delivers additional self-defence training, including Extendable Baton & Knife Defence and Weapon Protection. Scenarios addressed range from home invasion, street crime or Active Shooter with up to 4-man CQB (breaching, entry, etc).

Close Quarter Combat Team Bulgaria has been created to provide our dedicated local and international students with a regular opportunity to train alongside other highly prepared individuals to develop key team skills which are hard to achieve outside of a nations Armed Forces or Law Enforcement community.

Aside from the advanced firearms drills, there will be a specific emphasis on all elements of CQC including individual unarmed & armed self-defence, [Police] baton training, and knife defence.  in conjunction with our international training partner SAMI Academy Sofia.

Developing a group of like-minded peers to work together regularly allows us to provide training continuity to the team for much faster and more advanced skill development, in a variety of testing team-based scenarios.

This knowledge is usually only shared among elite police and counter-terror units.

This training is also delivered to Operators of the Civil Defence Group.

How it Works, Training Days & Environments
  • The Subscription is valid for a full SIX MONTHS – If you miss a training weekend you can catch up at a later date.
  • Every Member of the Close Quarter Combat Team has TWO training opportunities a month:
    • CQC Team Weekend – Last Weekend of the Month, every month
    • The Sunday Session – Every Sunday from 1300/1400 (Winter/Summer Time)
  • Every CQC Team Member must have I) A Shooter Belt and ii) Plate Carrier or Chest Rig
    • Initially, these can be rented from PrepYou.Eu

Range_Safety_Officer_At_Work

On-Range Learning

The Core Skills of Shooting must be completed before a student can contemplate addressing close quarter battle. Most of the work done on the range will be in preparation for Force-on-Force elements which will allow students to progress back to the range for the intense Team Live Fire elements.

Force-On-Force

There is NO OTHER WAY to validate your individual & team skills without engaging an "enemy"! In time, we will have access to other professional CQC training areas close to Sofia.PLEASE NOTE: Although we provide full protective equipment, force-on-force training hurts!

The Team House

Our Kill House is located at the Team House in Boyana, Sofia which also hosts our classroom and other training facilities. There will be a small element of classroom learning which also ensures all students have a through grasp of the law when it comes to self defence regardless of armed or unarmed situations.
